Heartland AG Systems has been manufacturing application support equipment in addition to selling application machinery for almost 50 years. In 1966, Dick Lenz started Mid-States Supply in Hutchinson, MN. Just a few years later, he bought Wosmack Manufacturing out of Glencoe, MN and the following year they moved production to Hutchinson.
Our manufacturing plant has been focusing on application equipment since the first product was assembled. Key lines include Anhydrous Wagons, Spreaders, Tenders, Liquid Trailers, Toolbars and Applicators. Within these lines, we have had several industry-first innovations. Our AG 800 model made waves for being the first adjustable wheel track Spreader in the industry. The 6000 line of Applicators were the first to have front mounted bars. The AG 105 Anhydrous Wagon, which later was upgraded to the Dual Bolster Wagon AG 106, was also the first to have adjustable wheel tracks.
In 2004, AG Systems struck a major deal with Case IH to exclusively manufacture and sell the Tyler Spreader and Tender product line, and move it to the Hutchinson, MN plant under the AG Systems brand name. In 2019, Heartland Ag merged with AG Systems to form Heartland AG Systems, and in the summer of 2020, all manufactured product was rebranded to Heartland AG Systems Equipment.
